I spent the last year and a half writing my latest book about an autoimmune disease that affects far too many people. Much of that time was spent researching more material to help me learn more about rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases and selecting reliable websites for information. Although it took more time than I planned, “Rheumatoid Arthritis: More than a Joint Disease,” was recently published. The book covers the basics of the disease and how various other conditions and diseases may be related to or caused by RA. It includes chapters on sleep disorders, how stress worsens RA symptoms, along with some unconventional treatments.
In my research, I learned about many ways that rheumatoid arthritis attacks the body’s organs. For example, I never understood how RA can damage the heart. I do now! I didn’t realize that many of my past and recent dental problems could well be caused by RA. When my eye developed iritis, a form of uveitis, I had no idea it was likely related to my rheumatoid arthritis. And don’t get me started on the connection between RA and my chronic hip pain, which my then-rheumatologist assumed was an osteo-arthritis issue.
I also researched and wrote about the horrendous cost of biologic medications to treat the disease with tips on obtaining discounts and assistance in paying for them. The book covers many other subjects related to the disease.

When I wrote my first book on RA in 2021, I hired an editor to format the manuscript for Amazon’s KDP. The new book, is 3 times the length of the first one and more in-depth with tons more information. This raised the cost of said editor beyond what I wanted to spend. Enter #FormatWithAtticus. If I could learn this program, I could format my own books without need of a formatting editor.

At the ripe old age of 81, I chose to learn that new computer program (@AtticusWriter). Believe me when I say I am not technologically skilled! What I am is determined and now, “Rheumatoid Arthritis: More than a Joint Disease” is available for $4.99 here!
Stay tuned! If you live with the disease, know someone with RA, or love someone with it, you will want to read this book and learn more about rheumatoid arthritis.!
